Messerschmitt Fliegeruhr Watch with Aviator Leather Strap #ME-209

This beautiful timepiece from Aristo pays tribute to the legendary Messerschmitt airplane of 1938. The ME-209 was a single engine aircraft developed as a pure record breaker airplane. In 1939 Messerchmitt test pilot Fritz Wendel achieved the speed record of 755 km/hr. This record was not officially broken by another piston-engined aircraft until August 1969. To commemorate this historical event the watch features on the dial the numbers 755 in red on the tachymeter scale.

This remarkable and bold looking watch features Swiss Ronda 515 quartz movement, a tachymeter scale, date window (at 3:00), SuperLuminova on the hands, numbers and markers, a high grade leather strap, and a screw-in case back.
